Zotero Connector for web browsers includes a setting to "enable proxy redirection" and automatically add proxy redirection to links. However, at BGSU, this setting has caused issues with linking to our resources because we already add a proxy to our links to our subscription databases and journals. Enabling Zotero's proxy redirection may block your access to our resources. As such, we recommend that you turn off this setting.
These are instructions for how to turn off this setting on Google Chrome. Turning off the setting on another web browser may not follow these exact steps, but should be similar.
1. Go into your plugins and find Zotero Connector. Click on it to access its settings (on Google Chrome, you will click on the "..." next to the pin).
2. Click on "Options" to open the Connector settings.
3. Click on the "Proxies" tab on the left side of the screen.
4. Unlick the checkbox that says "Enable proxy redirection."
