Newspapers

Newspapers usually do not have the stated ideological persperctives that are often found in news magazines. However, several factors such as ownership, geographic location, and editorial board can impact the content of the publication. Here are a few major newspaper publications that are thought to sway to one perspective over another:

The New York Times (1857 to Present)

The Washington Post (1904-1924; 1987-Present)

The Wall Street Journal (1984-Present)

The Wall Street Journal is often referred to as a conservative newspaper. A UCLA study found that while the editorial pages are mostly conservative, the news pages are liberal.
