Legislative Process Resources: Presidential Statements
This guide explains the various documents that are produced during the legislative process and points to where they can be found in BGSU Libraries and electronically (subscription & free).
After a bill is passed by both houses of Congress, it is sent to the Presidentto sign or veto. Presidential comments about the bill are recorded and published.
Historically, the U.S. Serial Set has included a broad miscellany of executive branch publications, varying considerably over the years. In some 19th-century Congresses it formed over half the Set, but in recent decades it has been quite small.
