- Research one prescriptive rule of your choice.
- Reflect on how your background and the results of this research affect how you may or may want to approach grammar.
We all come to the study of grammar with a history. This history affects our attitudes toward the “right” way to approach grammar as instructors or professionals. Because it is impossible to divorce ourselves from these experiences, this project aims to help us explore our histories, the histories of certain prescriptive rules, and examine the direction(s) we hope to take as we move forward.
