Organization Development & Change: Guidelines for Presenters and Discussants

Guidelines for Presenters

Each month, we will feature an online casual keynote presenter and discussant. The purpose of our symposia is to bring evidence-based perspectives to those transforming organizations, revitalizing communities, and developing human potential. This is an opportunity to celebrate and recognize the thought leadership emerging from our DODC program. As a result, we will serve our world, expand our individual and collective brand, and bring value to your degree.

Presenters advance our field of scholarship and practice-changing minds and igniting action: The OD&C symposia is set up to feature you if you have been accepted to publish and/or if you have been accepted to present your work at a conference. Each presenter will be allocated approximately 10 minutes for the presentation partnered with a discussant that leads participants into breakout groups for further discussions.

Guidelines for Discussants

Discussants reflect upon the presenter’s contribution - engaging and connecting ideas: A discussant is an important role to support the keynote presenter and help the audience better understand the presented paper by stimulating discussion points for the breakout activities. It is also an opportunity to develop presentation skills and a critical eye for reading and writing articles. Consider being a discussant to offer your input, assessment or other fun ways to interact with colleagues.
