With the popularity of young adult science fiction, particularly dystopic sagas like The Hunger Games and Divergent, it's safe to state that titles feature BIPOC characters will only deepen the value of this beloved genre.
These young adult books feature people of color as the principle protagonists (and antagonists!) and are appropriate for teenagers in grades 8-12.
