- JSTORFull text scholarly journals covering a variety of topics, including history. Some journals date back to the late 1700s.

- American Periodicals Series Online, 1741 - 1940'sSearchable database of full text articles from a wide variety of American periodicals published between 1741 and the mid 1940's. This a great place to find articles, illustrations, recipes, poems, ads, etc. published during this time period.
- CSPAN Video Library, 1987 - presentStreaming video for every C-SPAN program aired since 1987, with indexing so each can be searched by subject, speaker name, location, and more.
- Gender Studies Database, 1972 to presentIndex to articles, books and book chapters, conference proceedings, dissertations and more dealing with topics in women's studies, men's studies and sexual diversity issues.

- Popular Culture in Britain and America, 1950-1975A database of photographs, images, manuscripts, rare printed material documenting the music, politics, fashion and youth culture in America and Great Britain from 1950-1975.
- Reader's Guide Retrospective, 1890 - 1982Indexes articles in the popular press, including history, government, and education. Few of these articles are full text in the database, but BGSU owns many of them in paper, microfiche, or microfilm.
- Vogue Archive, 1892 - presentA complete, searchable archive of American Vogue, from the first issue in 1892 to the current month. Includes every article, cover, photo shoot, illustration and advertisement.
- Web of Science, with Conference Proceedings (ISI), 1965 - presentSearches citations to scholarly articles and papers on all topics from over 10,000 journals and 110,000 conference proceedings. It includes three parts: Arts and Humanities Citation Index (1975-present), Social Sciences Citation Index (1965-present), and Science Citation Index Expanded (1965-present). This database is particularly useful for citation searching.
