This guide will connect you with the folktales, fairy tales, variants, and fractured versions of traditional tales from around the world.

Who is Baba Yaga?

Baba Yaga is a terrible witch prominently featured in far Eastern European and Russian folklore. She lives deep in the forest in a hut that both stands and walks on chicken legs. Though she uses a broom to sweep away her tracks, Baba Yaga travels in a mortar and pestle - making her a fairly unique witch indeed!
