Lit & Learn: Seminar B

Seminar B Information

Seminar B

How do I build a diverse classroom library that will start important conversations in my classroom?

Mini case studies will be used to spark conversations about how to navigate book challenges by students or parents, what to do with controversial language or scenes in texts, and how to invite many voices to the table when exploring books. Participants will delve into how to assess the classroom library by conducting a diversity audit and explore how to use their space to promote reading and programmatic strategies to foster readers.
