Television Resources in the BPCL

What are TV scripts?

Scripts are a significant primary source for television research. The BPCL's television scripts cover many different genres: soap operas, situation comedies, dramas, reality TV, talk shows, etc.  Many of these scripts have original markings from the filming of the program as well as different drafts/versions, which makes for interesting study because what is on the page is not always what showed on the screen.  Many show, with some of the supplemental materials they contain, filming of a television series day in and day out.

The BPCL has thousands of scripts searchable by television program title or browse by local call number "tvscriptsbox" to find our holdings.

What are TV press kits?

Press Kits

Press kits are sets of materials that television studios and production companies send out to advertise a television program.  The BPCL has more than 300 TV press kits that can be searched by title in Library Search or browsed by local number "tvpresskitsbox".
