Special Education Graduate Program: Home

Overview

This LibGuide pulls together a variety of sources you may want to use while looking for information about various topics related to your graduate program. This is a work in progress and will be updated based on user feedback. This may not meet all of your research needs because of the interdisciplinary nature of the program but I'm more than willing to meet with you individually either over the phone or via WebEx. If you have any questions about this guide or how to conduct information research as you go along in your program, feel free to contact me. My information is available in the right-hand column.

Getting Started at the University Libraries

  1. To borrow books from the libraries you need your BGSU photo ID and a current record in the library database. For more detailed information, see Borrowing, Renewing, and Requesting
  2. For off-campus access to the online research databases login in with your BGSU e-mail user name and password.
  3. If the University Libraries doesn't have a book that you need, chances are that OhioLINK does. OhioLINK is the 80+ academic (and some public) libraries that lend their resources to one another through an online requesting system. Look for the "Request this item" button in the OhioLINK catalog. For more detailed information, see OhioLINK requesting.
  4. We're here to assist you! If you need help using the library, can't find what you want, have an assignment and need help getting started, Ask Us! for immediate help. Besides drop-in help, the University Libraries offer in-person or virtual Individual Research Appointments for undergraduates & graduate students.
