Praxis and Ohio Assessments for Educators (OAE) tests measure teacher candidate's knowledge and skills. Candidates seeking Ohio licensure and certifications must pass certain assessments, based upon their area of study in the pre-kindergarten through grade 12 system.
The Curriculum Resource Center, located on the second floor of Jerome Library, has resources to help Ohio teacher candidates prepare for Praxis and OAE assessments.

Search the CRC catalog to see if the OAE you need is available for check out. For example, enter OAE and Social Studies.
Check the status to see if it is AVAILABLE.
University Libraries subscribes to the Mometrix database which contains the OAE study guides as well as guides for other state tests and PRAXIS exams. If you wish to navigate to the database, there are several ways to do so
1. From the main library web page, enter mometrix into Summon. Look for the link to the database at the top of the search results list.
2. From the CRC web page, scroll down and click on Mometrix in the list of online databases.
Once you are in the database, select the Teaching button in the bottom right corner of the offerings.
The Curriculum Resource Center has print copies of OAE study guides available to borrow for seven days. These are located in the CRC near the textbook section and may be checked out and returned at the main circulation desk on the first floor. You will need a photo ID for check out. To ensure that these are readily available to others, they are not renewable. These are heavily used so please plan ahead.
