Pop The Music Bubble is a podcast project conceived and executed by music students and music library student employees at Bowling Green State University. Grounded in public musicology and public ethnomusicology, the podcast explores global and regional popular musics, drawing on music scholarship and sound recording collections discoverable in BGSU's Music Library and Bill Schurk Sound Archives.
Season 1 of the podcast by BGSU alum Monica Yost explores issues of globalization in K-Pop and J-Pop. Season 2 by BGSU alum Joe Johnson explores several Black music genres in the United States.
