Dr. Nicole M. Jackson is an Associate Professor of History. She is an historian of contemporary African Diaspora History with a focus on post-WWII Black social movements, migrations, race and imperialism, with particular focus on Black Britain. Her new work considers Black women’s popular literary works as sites for espousing ideas about race, sex, gender, love and national belongings—viewpoints often excluded from historical and popular social narratives.
