Institute for the Study of Culture and Society: Local Food Activist Panel (2017-2018)

There will be a local activist panel including Ohio community members and activists who work to make food accessible, environmentally sustainable, and responsible. Panel members will be discussing food access, sustainability, and urban farming, exploring the relationships between food and social justice. Panelists include Elizabeth Harris of the Glass City Goat Gals; Kate Sommerfeld of ProMedica’s Ebeid Institute/Market on the Green; Yvonne Dubielak of Toledo GROWs; and Neiko Alvarado, a senior at BGSU and former community gardening intern.
