Troubleshooting: Problems Linking to Full Text

Can't log in? Can't access full text? Here are tips for solving common problems using library resources.

Troubleshooting problems linking to full text

Are you unable to access a full text article in an e-journal?

1) Sometimes when you are linking to full text from Summon or Find It, you might get to a blank page or a page with just a frowney face. In that case, use the navigation bar on the right side of the screen (you may need to reopen it if it has collapsed). Scroll down to the bottom and click on the link that says "Open content in a new tab."

Frowny face? Blank screen? Scroll down on right and click the link to 'Open content in a new tab'.

2) Use our Journal Title List to see if it is available from another source. Search by journal name and check coverage by year.

For example, if you want the 2013 article "Rebirth" by Mariko Mori from Architects' Journal, you can search Architects' Journal in the Journal Title List to see which databases have full text for 2013 and link to them.
Each link to full text from the Journal Title list will include coverage dates for the journal.

The Journal Title List will also tell you if we have the journal in print or microfilm.
