Getting Started

Borrowing Items

To borrow items from the library, you will need your BGSU ID card. Undergraduate students can check out books for 3 weeks and renew up to 6 times. For more information of borrowing ideas, please click here

Off-campus access

Students, faculty, and staff have 24/7 access to all library databases from anywhere. To access off-campus, simply login with your BGSU username and password and authentic with a push notification.

Helpful tip: Your BGSU username and password for UL access will be the same as you MyBGSU account.

Requesting Materials for Other Libraries

BGSU has access to a large amount of print and on-line resources, but don't have it all. However, chances are you will still be able to access the resource via OhioLink or other libraries across the country. Requesting a item is super simple, just look for the "Request this item" link in Summon or the catalog and enter in the required information. If you are requesting a physical book, you will get an email to your BGSU email indicating the item has arrived and you can pick it up. If you requested an article, you will get an email with a link and directions on how to access it.
