Identifying an Event
Need to identify an event? Check out the New York Times' web page dedicated to current events in France. Though the current focus is on the 2012 election, you can scroll to the bottom of the page to access links to recently published articles in the New York Times. You can set specific date limits, search for various terms (e.g., veils, Sarkozy, strikes, etc.) or browse through recent articles.
NOTE: You can use the link below to find recent articles, which are mostly freely available on the web. Remember that the UL also has access to the online version of the New York Times through its subscription databases.

Newspaper Sources from the University Libraries
The University Libraries subscribes to several newspaper sources. Two, in particular, could be useful for your assignment:
- Newspaper SourceFull text for 185 national and international newspapers, selected full text for 392 regional U.S. newspapers, and full text newswires, transcripts, etc.
- Lexis-Nexis AcademicFull-text newspapers, business information, and legal publications, including current news, company profiles, industry information, and federal and state laws and legislation.

Individual Research Appointments provide students with one-on-one research assistance to help them identify and locate library and online sources and to help them formulate search strategies.
To schedule an appointment, call 419.372.6943 or stop by the Research & Information Desk on the first floor of Jerome Library. Please schedule your appointment by midnight of the day before you would like to meet with someone. This allows librarians time to prepare.
