    Finding Books

    When looking for books in the BGSU Libraries Catalog, use the following subject terms:

    Jazz music
    Jazz music--history and criticism
    Jazz musicians
    Individual musician names


    Call Numbers

    When browsing the ML/SRA's open stacks for books on Jazz look in the following call number ranges:

    Jazz:            ML 3506 - 3509

    Big Band:    ML 3518

    Blues:         ML 3521


    Finding Recordings

    When looking for recordings in the BGSU Libraries Catalog, try the following searches:

    Name of performer [author search]
    Album title [title search]
    Song title [title or keyword search]

    NOTE: Many albums have excellent historical and biographical notes, and lyrics are frequently included on jackets or inner liners.
