What is Summon?
Summon allows you to quickly search, discover and access reliable and credible library content in a wide variety of formats (book, ebook, article, audio, video, image) and from a wide variety of sources (the classic catalog, peer-reviewed journals, EBSCO databases, and more). Enter your terms in one search box, and quickly get credible results in one relevancy-ranked list.
What's in Summon?
When you're searching Summon, you're searching approximately 80% of the library's collections - but not everything is included in Summon.
Summon is a great place to start your research, but you won't find everything available to you through the library's databases or interlibrary loan if you only use Summon. While you will find content from JSTOR and most of our EBSCO databases in Summon, advanced users will still want to search their favorite subject-specific databases to find additional articles, and OhioLINK and WorldCat to find additional books. If you have any questions about what you do or don't find in Summon, contact Amy Fry.
Want a better Summon experience? We recommend using Chrome, Firefox, or Safari as your browser - NOT IE.
What is Flow?
Flow is an online citation management tool like RefWorks, designed to make it much easier to add full-text documents to citations (drag-and-drop) and input citations (type-ahead). BGSU users can sign up for free. If you like Flow, you can also transfer your RefWorks account to Flow. Learn more.
