Journal archives
The Library still has a few journals and magazines for which we have kept historical issues.
- Life (1917-19, 1936-72 and 1983-93)
- Scientific American (1864, 1866, 1895-1988, 1997-2018)
- Time (1924-78, 1981-present)
You can find these in print on the first floor of Jerome Library.
The Library also has several online journal and magazine archives.
- Vogue ArchiveA complete, searchable archive of American Vogue, from the first issue in 1892 to the current month. Includes every article, cover, photo shoot, illustration and advertisement, with rich indexing enabling users to find images by designer and brand names.
- Women's Magazine ArchiveAn archival research resource comprising the full backfiles of leading women's interest consumer magazines.
- New York Times HistoricalThe entire contents of the New York Times from 1851 to three years ago.
- American Periodicals Series OnlineThe full text of hundreds of American magazines, journals, and newspapers published between 1741 and 1900.
- American Antiquarian Society PeriodicalsFull-text collections of thousands of historical American periodicals, provided by the American Antiquarian Society and published between 1691 and 1912. The collection is fully searchable via a number of filters, and offers multiple navigation options.

Design Issues
Presents a scholarly forum for the history, theory, and criticism of design. Design Issues is online in JSTOR from 1984-2012; Design Issues is online in EBSCO from 1997-1 year ago.
Journal of Visual Culture
Promotes research, scholarship, and critical engagement with visual cultures. The Journal of Visual Culture is online, 2002-present.
Informs and enlighten the graphic design profession with in-depth reporting and critical commentary on the emergent issues, trends, and ideas affecting global visual communications. In print 2004-present; we have Print online 1995-present.
