Call Numbers for Scores

Call numbers for chamber music follow a set pattern based on the number and type(s) of instruments. Use the chart below to find the call number range for a particular instrumentation. For example, a septet featuring a piano, a string quartet (two violins, viola, and cello), flute, and percussion would have a call number between 720 and 749.

Pieces for 10 or more are considered large ensembles and their call numbers (M1000-1356.2) do not conform to the above pattern.
