Summon searches for books at BGSU as well as articles in our many databases.
Find books in Summon by typing in a topic, then using the checkboxes next to your search results to limit to "items in the library catalog" (under "refine your search") and "book" or "ebook" (under "content type").
The BGSU Library Catalog can also be used to find books. This is sometimes a better way to search for books by topic, because
Librarians use a specific vocabulary to describe resources, including subjects. Keyword searches are a good way to start, but subject searches can be more specific. Try choosing "subject" from the drop-down menu in the catalog or a database and searching for some of these suggested subject terms.
To identify the subjects used to describe a book (or an article, if you are using a database), look for the "subjects" at the bottom of the full record. To discover more resources in these subjects, just click on the link!
You will find books about Ancient Egypt and Egyptian Art in ranges 18, 31 and 110: the ranges with call numbers BL, DT, and N5350. All are on the first floor of the library.
