CRC Hours

For Instructors

BGSU faculty may request that copies of materials from either their personal collection or the CRC collection be put on Reserve  at the CRC Information and Lending desk located on the 2nd floor of Jerome Library. This will enable students enrolled in their courses to access these materials for a selected loan period listed below.

Loan Periods

  • 2-hour reserve (may not leave the CRC)
  • 72-hour reserve
  • 168 hour reserve

What if the CRC doesn't have a copy?

We are happy to make instructors' personal copies of materials available for use via the CRC Reserves. We cannot put OhioLINK materials on Reserve. If you would like to request that an item be purchased for the CRC's collection, please contact Head Librarian, Colleen Boff.

What if the CRC has a copy, but it's not available?

We can recall items that are checked out to make sure they're available for your students. Requests that include materials that are checked out may take longer to fill. If something is missing or damaged, we can order a replacement copy. To make a request for purchase, please contact Head Librarian, Colleen Boff.

How to get items on CRC Reserve?

Please click on the link below and fill out the reserve registration form at least one week before the materials are needed by students.

For additional questions about Reserve procedures, contact Library Associate Jess Mullins. For questions about putting items on Reserve in the Music Library or at the main circulation desk, read the information found on the Jerome Library Reserves Libguide.

For Students

Reserve materials may be found by searching the library catalog or by asking a CRC staff member at the Information and Lending desk during CRC hours. Curriculum Resource Center Reserve materials must be requested at, checked out from, and returned to the CRC Information and Lending Desk. Here are a few policies to keep in mind with Reserve material:

  • Fines for overdue Reserve material accrue at $1.00 an hour.
  • Students may not put holds on Reserve material if they are already checked out.
  • Reserve material may not be renewed.
  • Once a student returns a Reserve item, there is a 24 hour waiting period before that student can borrow the same Reserve item again. This allows for other patrons to have a chance to use the material. The only exception is if there are two copies of an item.
