A guide to finding audio - mostly streaming - for use in teaching, studying, and enjoyment

Recordings in the Library

There are a few different strategies for finding recordings IN the Music Library.  See our "Finding Music in the Online Catalog" guide for more approaches.

Sample search: Don Giovanni, by Wolfgang A. Mozart

Option 1:TITLE Search

From the BGSU Libraries Catalog, click on the Title. Type: don giovanni (no capitalization is necessary) and click on Submit or press the enter key.

Click on Limit/Sort Search.

Under Material Type, select Sound Recording OR scroll down to the SOUND Recording menu and select CD, 33rpm, etc. (do not make a selection under both of these menus).

Click on the Submit button and you will retrieve a list of recordings of Don Giovanni.


Option 2: WORD Search

Go to the BGSU Libraries Catalog.

In the first search box, choose Author from the "Any Field" drop-down menu and type: mozart.

In the next box, choose Title from the drop-down menu and type: don giovanni.

Under Material Type, select Sound Recording OR scroll down to the SOUND Recording menu and select CD, 33rpm, etc. (do not make a selection under both of these menus).

Click the Submit button.
