Research Help

Not on campus? Not a problem!

Distance students have four ways to get help from the library without stepping on campus.

Phone: Research & Information Desk: 419-372-2361 (toll free at 866-542-2478 or 866-LIB-BGSU).

IM: Use the Meebo box on the right side of this page (or the Ask Us! page) to send an instant message and chat with us! During most of the day and evening, we are online and here for you. [reference desk hours]

Text: Text the word “Jerome” to 66746 for brief instructions, or begin your text message with the word “Jerome”.

Email: We check this every day, Monday - Friday.

Graduate Students: Contact the instruction Liaison Librarian for your department for personalized in-depth assistance.

Do you ILLiad?

ILLiad is the BGSU Libraries interlibrary loan (ILL) system--it is the system used to get materials not available at BGSU or through OhioLINK.

Log in to your ILLiad account in a separate window while searching for books and articles; this saves typing much of the citation information needed when requesting articles.

Register for ILLiad. This account is separate from other accounts you may have at BGSU, including your library account. You will need to create a username and password to request and retrieve materials.

Other Help
