Legislative Process Resources: House & Senate Reports

This guide explains the various documents that are produced during the legislative process and points to where they can be found in BGSU Libraries and electronically (subscription & free).

Finding Current House & Senate Reports

Reports which accompany bills voted out of committee describe the purpose and scope of the bill and the reasons for approval of the measure. Few bills are reported unfavorably. Reports also include the committee's oversight findings and recommendations, and a statement indicating new budget authority or an estimate of new or increased expenditures.
